Education Law

Education law falls under civil law and deals with the administration and functioning of educational institutions. Both state governments and the federal government can enact statutes in relation to education law. Education laws govern the modes of instruction, school athletics, materials, appointment of school staff and faculty, students, issues of discipline, and other programs related to education. Every citizen has the right to education and no person can be deprived of it because of discrimination based on race, sex, color, national origin, or permanent or temporary disability.
